It will take this generation more than a lifetime to fill the void created due to this pandemic. We all have lost so many of our loved ones or know someone close who has. This year has been even more devastating than the last one.

Amidst this chaos, the only sliver of hope we have is because of our frontline workers. Their selfless service during these testing times has shown us a flickering light in this darkness.

We are so elated and humbled at the same time to bring in a very special series in the month of June in honor of our doctors.

Every interview we took gave us a painful insight into what it is like to lose lives one after another in a single day and the days that follow. Those long hours in PPE kits where one couldn’t even eat, drink or go to the washroom became a regular affair. Staying away from family for days and spending sleepless nights alone, hiding away the pain and exhaustion; they have been experiencing it all. Yet, they are continuing to provide their selfless service to us during this pandemic.

We have heard some memorable and touching personal accounts of PhD students throughout this year since we started the initiative. But curating this particular series brought tears to our eyes, we were overwhelmed while asking questions and listening to the heart-wrenching responses that came after. We have tried to weave these stories with as much emotion as we felt while talking to these doctors.

Here’s revealing the poster that Parijat beautifully crafted on behalf of us, representing all those warriors we will be featuring in June and showcasing what we, at PhDs of India, stand for.

Thank you.
