“I came into PhD after working for a decade in public health policy and advocacy for India and across the globe. I did my Bachelor’s in Law where I discovered that I had a leaning towards the issue of access to health particularly for women and young girls.

I founded an organization called “Delhi Mahila Samhiti” at an early age of 18 which worked with abandoned HIV positive housewives; and after being associated with this organization for a long time, I eventually went on to get my PhD on the same issue.

Prior to that, I received the INLAKS scholarship to pursue Master’s from Warwick University, UK. I was on an all time high until I failed a paper in my first term because of using a footnote from Wikipedia. No one ever told me it was wrong, and I was probably the only one who had ever failed in that paper. It was embarrassing then but my overall experience in the UK was quite enriching. I met people from diverse cultures and learnt to think constructively. It was here I found my passion for ensuring access to health and rights for the most vulnerable from the lens of International Development and Law, i.e. to change policies using evidence based advocacy and communication. After coming back, I started my career with PATH which focused on changing the landscape of health using innovative advocacy interventions in India.
